Me is how blessed I was to be born in this country. Most of the people over there are just trying to live their lives, just like us, but are dying in a conflict not of their making. Imagine being the guy driving that car so loaded with children that it's riding on its rims trying to get them to safety. Imagine being a parent who put their child in that car. All because of where they happened to be born. When I get pissed off later about some stupid argument between the left and right in DC I'll try to remember these people.

Sure they would like a peaceful, fulfilling life.
However at best, many Palestinians likely harbor a deep resentment and potentially a hatred of Israel. There’s a tacit acceptance of Hamas and their terrorist activities against Israel. In some cases, there’s open endorsement and support.
Sure Palestinians are refugees and to some degree victims. But some part of the Palestinian plight is their own making. It’s a sad situation but sympathy is tempered. Current events are not likely to change any of this.

No choice but to respond with ruthless devastating force. The atrocities committed by Hamas warrant such a response. Israel has to show Gaza that the repercussions of those acts are death and the obliteration of Hamas.
The only point I was trying to make is that I was blessed to be born in a country were I have the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. A child born today in Gaza has the right to get on board with Hamas or get a shallow grave. None of us here in the USA did anything to earn the right to be born here; It just smacks me in the face when I see the images coming out of the Middle East.

I understand what you are saying and there are definitely many Palestinian’s that support Hamas
In fairness to the remainder that are just trying to make it though…
Iran runs Hamas and has dedicated all its resources to making sure they make the Gaza Strip a perpetual thorn in Israel’s side. They don’t care one bit about the pain they inflict on Gaza while they use them as a pawn

I've never heard any politician here run on ending other civilizations or say they want to end elections.
Neither do we lob rockets into Canada or Mexico every few years.

elections have claimed fraud and sought to overturn the results. We don’t have statesmen anymore; almost everyone in congress would accept a lifetime appointment if it was available.

if that is Israel, then yes. If that is Gaza, then no. Kids in Gaza are literally taught in school to hate Israeli Jews - worse than the Nazis in the 1930s.
The propaganda against Jews is very strong and has so many over there convinced. They are sheep, all following each other believing everyone believes the same thing so it must be true. Jews are evil and must be exterminated.
The equivalent here is Woke. If you are woke, you believe all nonsense put in front of you. There may be a dozen root causes why individually each woke person is woke, but they act as a group and have group-think.
Today's woke example: tampons are needed in men's bathrooms. You cannot believe that if you are a reasonable person. And, don't tell me there are so many female-to-male trannies out there using the men's bathroom that this should be an issue. That's bunk - if you believe the bunk you are not a reasonable person.
