Dare to Dream - A Look at the Last Month in Clemson Baseball

How things have changed in one month!!

Approximately one month ago (April 3):
Clemson Baseball was 16-13 and 2-7 in the ACC. This team was dead last in the conference. Yes, Dead LAST! With a challenging schedule still ahead, a losing overall record was still an ugly possibility.

I was just hoping that Clemson could improve enough:
- To squeak into the ACC Tournament
- And (Dare to Dream) squeak into the NCAA Tournament

April 3:

Louisville 4-5 / 20-6
NC State 5-7 / 20-8
Notre Dame 5-7 / 14-11

COASTAL
Virginia 8-4 / 24-4
Miami 8-4 / 19-0
North Carolina 6-4 / 20-8
Duke 6-6 / 18-10
Georgia Tech 6-6 / 17-11

Virginia Tech 4-8 / 17-10

Now, May 8:
Clemson is 31-17 and 14-10 in the ACC.
The Good Guys have gone 15-4 and 12-3 in the ACC since April 3.

Now it feels like nothing is off the table for this team:
- Clemson’s ACC Tournament spot seems like a given.
- Clemson is currently in position to be the #1 seed in its three-team pool in the ACC Tournament
- As long as Clemson does not completely fall apart, the Tigers look good for the NCAA Tournament (One month ago this was the “Dare to Dream” spot.)
- Clemson has put itself in a strong position to HOST a Regional
- And (Dare to Dream) if Clemson stays Red Hot, the Tigers still have an outside shot at a National Seed
