DW4 and TL were on a very structured, get your degree in 3 years and go to the NFL, program. The only way either transfers is if they weren’t ready for the NFL after those 3 years. DJU was on the same program. Highly doubt Mike Williams would have transferred after his injury. Not so sure about Nuk.

I am waiting to see their employee structure because the admin fees seem to be too high. IPTAY is too bloated an organization and has done nothing to trim overhead costs. I have to donate to IPTAY for tickets but, am currently on the sidelines for 110 Society.

…is that a TOP 5 program today would cost ~$25M PER YEAR to maintain that caliber of a roster.
Can Clemson’s NIL program float that kind of dough?

Clemson may have not lost any great players to NIL, but they also haven't obtained any NIL transfers either.

Seriously, you will NOT know WHO you LOST. You will only know WHO you WON with a NIL deal.
I think that those who believe NIL is NOT HURTING Clemson recruiting have their heads in the sand, refusing to listen to what everyone is saying COMPLETELY OUT LOUD.
And, the NCAA (hey, that’s funny, I said, “NCAA”) has ABSOLUTELY NO CONTROL over any of it…NONE, NAUTTA, NOTHING!

At one point this season I calculated that half of our losses since 2018 have been to Transfer QBs. So, I don't think you can say the portal hasn't hurt Clemson. Also where could we be with at least 1 quality receiver and 1 or 2 quality OL pick ups. Could we have landed anyone that would help? Who knows?

…but the Portal is the enabling factor leading to a highest-bidder marketplace.
Oh yeah, I believe the Portal has done MAJOR damage to roster stability, player development will become a HIGHER RISK, i.e., “…if we develop this player during games where they may be a higher liability, but we need to get them playing time for FUTURE performance, we’ll likely LOSE this player to a HIGHER BIDDING team THROUGH the Portal.”
It is a lopsided risk-reward scenario where the risk is all on the institution and the reward heavily skewed in favor of the player. The reward for the team is clearly the wins that the player contributes to, but this reward is much smaller than the risk the team took in developing that player.

Clawson is a good coach. He manages to get the most out of his players, considering the overall talent level of Wake.

He’s concerned about money in the sport? Sure. The guy is 49-47 at Wake, and in the last two years his salary has gone from $2.3 mil to $4 mil. Spare us the sanctimony, Dave.
