Dear Chad,

Oct 11, 2014, 7:42 PM

You would think after throwing away the ACC championship that we would go under center on the 1/2 yard line... Cole is 6'5, he can jump and reach his arm out for a yard! Why is it that the little things are the hardest for us. That delayed QB run has worked once... in the orange bowl...with Boyd...on the first drive... If you watch film on Clemson for the last 4 years then you know it's coming!!! It's horrible! What would Alabama do? Auburn? FSU? Heck even SC? Be a man, grow some hair on your back, and get under center. We overthink this every time we're in a short yardage situation. I hope you donate your game check to Coach V this week... he saved your butt, again. You didn't earn this weekly earning of your 1.3M this week. And as for you Dabo, I've been in your corner when most have not but... in the name of Danny Ford PUT YOUR FOOT DOWN on Chad. YOU ARE THE HEAD COACH.

Sincerely,
Danny Ford

Dear Chad or dear Dabo? Either way agreed on the short yardage play calling yet again. Clemson is one of a very few schools that puts on pads that can lose 4 yards to 30 yards on a less than 1 yard conversion. Instead of going to Nevada to learn the pistol (which I say had it's benefits), maybe we could watch every team that has won a national championship or Super Bowl in the last 50 years and realize on 3rd or 4th and inches you man up close to the line of scrimmage and push behind the strongest point of the line. If we have that little trust in the O-line, may I suggest DJ Reader in the backfield. He is athletic enough to be a college pitcher so he can probably take a hand-off if the 1.3 million dollar coordinator can TEACH his team to take a snap under center.

On a positve note, Chad is always on in the first half. Aside from the OSU bowl win, he normally loses the half time adjustment battle with a decent coordinator on the other side. In the simplest terms the offense normally gets worse as the game progresses. It was a pleasure to see us struggle through most of the game and Chad make the adjustments to take what the defense gave him and have the offense improve through out the game.

On a really positive note, what a defensive effort. Venables should be the highest paid coordinator in the country. The offense put us in a pickle and in the past may have worn the defense out but today we rotated fresh bodies and kept a chip on our shoulder throughout. Today's D was national champsionship caliber.
