DavidHood® Earlier, I posted some observations about the Spring Game on here that covered QB performance. Now, I'm not trying to sound like Tyler from Spartanburg or seem like I know better than Coach Swinney. However, I cannot help but to notice that Cade is still having the same issues as he had last season. To me, it doesn't seem like he's developed much in the right direction. Anyway, one comment posted by GS455 stated the following:

"It’s called player development, and, in this case, it is the QB. Had dinner with a long time LSU fan last night and discussed Joe Burrow’s awakening after transferring to LSU. They went to the NO Saints and brought on a coach to get Joe to release quicker. He would stand behind him in practice and yell “throw” through a bull horn 1.1 seconds after the ball was snapped. Burrow’s throw/catch percentage increased to 93% from the pocket and amazingly to 97% on roll outs. Burrow came to trust that if he threw with consistent speed and distance, the receiver would be there. May not work in every case, but it sure worked in that one."

Is it beyond Clemson's ideal process to maybe send a QB or Kicker to a camp for further development training during the summer period? Just curious as to how that would all work out because if that sort of camp or program turned Joe Burrow into a "cheat code", then I could only imagine what it would do for a guy like CK or even CV. Those two QB's are well above average players. I mean, prior to Joe Burrow taking over at LSU and leading their team to the National Championship, nobody even knew who he was because he was riding the bench.

Just a question of curiosity? GO TIGERS!

Our country won't go on forever, if we stay soft as we are now. There won't be any America because some foreign soldiery will invade us and take our women and breed a hardier race.

With a 55 QBR (80th in fbs) last year, I doubt he's even on the draft radar right now.

Something is terribly wrong and I just can't pinpoint it. Clemson offense has had 3 300 yard passing games against fbs teams in 3 seasons.

I don't what your LSU friend is talking about but LSU brought in Joe Brady from the Saints as the passing game coordinator and WR coach in 2019.. and that was Burrow's 5th year. His 2nd at LSU.

I have said virtually the same thing for 2 years now, Chesty. Watch the Youtube video of Jerry Rice highlights for his NFL career. The ball was always released within 2 seconds of the snap, every time. No matter whether it was a deep throw or a quick slant. Joe Montana & Steve Young figured this out. Hopefully Cade will also.
