Defense

you can blame all you want on any other part of the defense, but this defense won't be any better until we have a better pass rush. More than anything we just don't have great players at the end position. We have Beasley who is fast but doesn't have much size, and we have Goodman and crawford who are big but they aren't very fast. This ultimately allows other teams to run around the ends when we don't have the speed, or up the middle when we don't have the size. Not to mention the fact that we barely get any pressure on the quarterback which doesn't do our secondary any favors. We could mask the secondary if we had a pass rush, but alas it seems as of right now we don't have the DE's we need on this team

Has anyone noticed, even the NFL teams have struggled defensively against the spread offense and the NEW mobile QB's. That's why there are 5 rookies this season starting at QB..it's a different mindset. This isn't the 80's anymore.

Venables said that we only have 15 players that
he can count on.Help is coming next year.I thought
our defense gave a gallant effort for 3 quarters
but gave out of gas.We will be better,give time.
I am proud of our team for their fight.We will
beat most of the rest.
