Our opponents get many open 3's. I suspect because we have to play off them because of our lack of quickness to recover if they drive. The other teams play right on our guys out in 3 point land. I hate to complement the Wolfpack but their defense smothered WF at the end of that game. I don't think we are quick enough to do that. Having said this, I love this team, esp with the rebounding and inside play of Shefflin and PJ.

Suffocate the perimeter and force them to shoot twos. We’re avg giving up 10 threes in our five losses. That’s a lot to overcome when we shoot 14% from the arc.
My guess is that NCSU asked Clark to enter the portal. He and Leyte Gulf look as lost as intramural walk-ons.

It is more simple or complicated than that. Because we are an inside orientated team, we give up quickness for length inside. Last night Tech had 3 players with 2 or more 3 pointers and another with 1. We only had 2 guys with a 3 so they did not have to guard the outside the way we did. Our offense depends on our inside game and that means we have to play 3 bigs which makes it hard to cover. Basketball is all about matchups and you give up something to get something and we lost that game last night.
