speed. Flowers, 6'1" 220lbs,4.4 or better speed,Kevin Mack, a real bruiser at 235lbs. and 4.4 speed,Rudy Harris,Tracy Johnson,Jeff McCall, etc. I mean, big backs, that when they hit took a hit from the side, they bounced off and got 3,4,5 more yards. I'm talking about a back that comes of the corner, lays a shoulder into a linebacker and never slows up!

big number 27 rumbling into and over folks....i love our offense these days but what i'd do to have a power team for short yardage of a Mack, McCall, Flowers type and a Marvin Sims or Tracy Johnson type at FB....with some nasty OL in front of them......knock some slob out of folks' mouths.

and i'd take a Marvin Sims mauler at FB for a change of pace who actually has some quicks once he got in the secondary....and when it is time to hit someone, can drill them like a LB with the football.....

Doesn't Jamie Harper count as that big back? Of course he didn't quite live up to his ranking coming out of high school but he was a big back with speed.

in size he does

but in pure physical power, not even close to Mack, Sims, Emory Smith, Flowers, etc....Flowers and Mack were horses with speed to outrun some DB's and they'd lay folks out. Harper was actually bigger than them but in no way shape or form as physical as they were. Marvin Sims was the most physical runner i've ever seen in a Tiger uniform. He never lost yardage in his entire career on a carry.

You are correct about that. I agree in regards to the power. He should have been as powerful but in turn was rather soft. Seemed to hit the hole and then couldn't move any further. Occasionally he would break a run.
With that being said, kid is in the NFL but didn't live up to the hype coming into Clemson. I wish him all the best. Good young man.

good feet too......made him slippery at times, probably why he didn't play very physical....that will help him last in the NFL because those pounding types don't last in the NFL anymore...Sims played parts of three years with the Colts and knees and shoulders ran him out of the league....same thing with Flowers...knees....Mack had a couple of beast years and Pro Bowls in Cleveland but knees and back, i think, cost him there.....brutal game for power runners.

This would be a great pick up. I think Gallman can develop into a bigger back that will help with short yardage but it'd be awesome to land this kid as well. This kid in tandem with a steady developing Bellamy would help replenish our stable of quality RBs.

Honestly, looking at film this kid is awful impressive. I am more excited about him than any other back in this class. I hope he ends up a Tiger!
