Did I hear correctly that Watson will graduate next December?

Dec 15, 2015, 1:21 PM

If that's the case. He will be able to leave for the draft early with his degree in hand. The kind is one of a kind.

I think his point is it's not an accident that Deshaun wanted to get that degree after completing his junior season. Once again - Deshaun figuratively seeing the whole field...

The key part was with degree in hand.

He could leave anyway

Dec 15, 2015, 1:30 PM

He said he planned to graduate in 3 years so that would be next December. Regardless of whether he graduates or not he can go pro after next year - just have to wait 3 years after HS graduation. That is why M. Alexander who is only a RS soph can declare after this season.

Point is, he's a stud on the field who is good enough to bolt for the league after 3 years, but also handled his business in the classroom such that he will already have his degree. What a great kid.

Whle I still think it's unlikely, he's suggested that he may stay all 4 years

i understand he can leave as a junior

Dec 15, 2015, 2:17 PM [ in reply to He could leave anyway ]

I was saying he'd have his degree also. That's what's impressive.

I think the OP's point is about his degree.

Dec 15, 2015, 3:14 PM

Not many junior and redshirt sophomore would be able to leave with a degree, especially a star player.
