likely with smaller breweries than the big boys who own the majority of their farms. I work for a beer distributor and there have been all sorts of issues since Covid; aluminum shortage, glass shortage, labor shortage, supply chain issues. One of our local breweries had to stop producing their flagship beer for awhile because they couldn't get their specific barley from overseas. All the crap going on nowadays with prices for farmers and supply issues there's no telling what to expect.

Should see quite a few more stomachs flatten out with a shortage like that.

I work for a food production company headquartered in France with North American operations in Toronto, Ohio, and South Carolina.
I can confirm that CO2 used by beer manufacturers is in VERY short supply. I do not know how much this will impact the beer industry, but it could be a problem.
We use dry ice for ice blast cleaning grill/cooking plates in all our facilities and we are having a hard time getting dry ice due to the CO2 shortage.

I don't do it these days (use a CO2 tank) but beer will cook in the bottle or keg. Yeast eats the sugar and gives off alcohol and C02. No outside Co2 is needed for us country boys.

Around the 4th of the July it was going to be a mustard shortage. Plenty of mustard now but higher prices.
BTW, not having beer is sports related.

I heard it this morning too. Sounds like another panic brought to you by the MSM. I do know we have had some issues getting dry ice, which is also CO2, but the issues were temporary. The story I heard said most of the CO2 is produced as a by-product of oil refining. Sounds like another reason to keep my gas guzzling full size pickup! I’ll do my part.
