but for some reason. the offense doesn't get to flow though him. it went to 4Stars for the majority of the season and for that Kentucky game.
it's amazing what a 5Star can do when he is the playmaker on every single play .
Bring back WRU!!! Sell #2 jerseys in the stores.
(I'm beyond excited to see Adam Randall , Bryant Wesco, and TJ Moore at WR. so tired of the 5'10" only options . that's why CK2 looks bad. every DB has more length than his WRs
Even Stellato - when y'all's think he's open. he's going to get throttled on the jump ball and the DB will beat him up for it unless CK2 threads miracle pass
The OL isn't even that bad. the RBs are just 4 stars and need giant run lanes . Give CK2 just 1 True agile Lengthy Athlete to throw to . game .... )

Disagree. 1 drive does not make you a star. Any of Cades predecessors outside of DJ are no worse than 10-2 with this team.
Cades lack of awareness, inability to run the ball effectively, and his vision really really hurt this team this year.
Hoping he takes a big leap next year. Boyd did so it can happen.

When CK is pressured, he tends to make poor decisions. The game has not slowed down for him enough yet. When a rusher breaks free up the gut, CK needs to not run backwards! Instead, try to side step the rusher, then step up and make him go past you. At least that way if he gets the sack you don’t lose 10+ yards! Nothing good comes from back pedaling for 10 yards while the rusher is in full bull rush mode running straight ahead at you. NOTHING!

.... I am familiar with seeing poor OL play for well over a decade at FSU. Back in the 90s our OL was worse than horrible when it came to run blocking. So, Mark Richt set up an offense where the OL job was "Protect the QB." We commonly called the OL the "Wall of Lard." They could pass pro, but their run blocking stunk. Richt was a genius. He developed an offense that could run the ball somewhat effectively while the OL was pass blocking.
We thought it was gonna get better with Rick Trickett, but it didn't.
So, with that said, my unexpert - but experienced - analysis is this concerning the OL of Clemson.
1. Pass pro is putrid. Teams consistently get pressure with 4 (or even 3) guys rushing. Luke has a huge job. I don't know if it is lack of talent, poor technique, poor scheme or whatever. But, the pass pro has to improve.
2. Run blocking is better than pass pro, but certainly not elite.
I'm hoping coaching and recruiting will improve both drastically. (I wouldn't be surprised if a couple of OL guys - the old 'one year rental guys' aren't on the roster come Spring practice.)

Cade was sacked 7 times yesterday. 7. Nobody can be effective when you are running for your life that much. When the OL blocked well CK was able to run the offense better. With the speed at WR we have coming in next year and Coach Luke having a full offseason to work on the OL I think we will see a much improved offense and CK will be much better.

In his own words after the game, CK said that he held the ball too long. That was the problem yesterday, and even he admitted it.

Cades last drive is a microcosm of his play this year. Some good, some terrible, some OK. His boneheaded intentional grounding almost cost us a chance to win, but we did win.
All the excuses about OL and WRs have some validity but the reality is if Klubnik does not improve we are looking at another 8 to 9 win regular season. Of the 7 sacks yesterday, three of those he had plenty of time to make a play or throw the ball away. He has the arm and legs to be a very good QB. Has to be able to read the field, have better pocket presence, be more definitive when pulling it down to scramble and stop making bad situational decisions.
Watching the Mizzoo QB navigate the OSU rush last night was the difference in one team winning and one team losing. Neither OLine could handle the other team.
