I ride some, but not on the road. I don't trust drivers.***

I can't recall where we were going the other weekend, but were on a windy, narrow road behind a bicycle fella. We hang back and pass when we get a chance. Another driver follows us, then has to cut the bicycle off in order to make a right turn. There was no reason at all for him to do that. Saved a whole 15 seconds.

That's happened to me, one time I had to make the turn too or would

I for one am glad you are stopping. You are one of the most ignorant posters ever. You obviously think very highly of your own opinion, unlike the rest of us - RockHillTiger

savings time always gets me. I've usually started back by now. Need to start soon.

We have bike lanes on most roads here and it's flat. It has to be flat for me any longer.

Felt
Pinnarello
Trek

Felt F95 was the best bike I ever had. Stiff and would sail through the wind.

Trek is amazing. They have gone full commercial but I have seen their full process have met the owner on multiple occasions and they do #### right.

Pinnarello. Sleek style. Loose and light. Better know what you are doing.

Sorry friend, but Specialized > Trek. (And I have a sweet Trek mountain bike).

Which Pinarello did you have? I’d still kill for a Prince. Sexiest rear chainstays in the industry

good on y'all for using that as a way to get in / stay in shape.

you can mock me for being a fat pos if I can mock you for wearing spandex and the aerodynamic helmets cruising main street at 11 AM on a Saturday.

you can also mock me for using the knock off peloton as a substitute.

my old neighbor was a spandex guy...tickled me up to see the old guys come over to meet up w/ him to ride around.

maybe once my kids get old enough to ride bikes I will get into it. cost of entry is high, accessibility is limited, even here. cept we do have a few parks that look kinda cool...have not been to them at all though.

riding on the road would be an absolute no for me. 70% safety / morons, 30% pride...can't even lie.

it's a great workout and a great way to get outside. I could absolutely get into trail riding. won't even call it mountain biking b/c I wouldn't be able to climb fuckall for bout 2 years haha.

rode and did multi-sport races (preferred du/bi to tri) had an old Team Fuji frame that i rode until my sweat fused the seat post to the frame... road a Specialized road bike for many years

when i lived on Hilton Head, it was great for cycling for many years until it got too crowded and then i got to where i was riding in fear of tourists. back in the day, once you got over the bridge and off the island, there was great riding... back when there was the flashing yellow light at Rose Hill but no other stop lights

my better half did IM tris for many years and i used to ride with her locally, but we have both given it up. she still rides her gravel bike but sold her road and tri bikes

i have a Felt tri/TT bike i need to sell... in great shape if anyone is interested

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Have one of my bikes up on a wahoo kickr, ride mostly Trek, cracked

my carbon 2009 Madone frame, so waiting to get a discounted Domane SL5. Used to bike commute 3K per yr before Covid, 90% on trails in DC area to stay away from distracted drivers who think they own the road. Live off the GW bike trail and my road has more bikes than cars on the weekends.

Road biker here. I mostly ride roads that have dedicated bike lanes or roads that have very little traffic.
By the way do you know about the East Coast Greenway? It is a partially dedicated bike lane that runs from the Canadian border in Maine to Key West. Yes it runs through Myrtle Beach, Georgetown, Charleston and Beaufort. It is expanding each month with new bike lanes.

https://map.greenway.org/

Sadly most of the trail in NC, SC and GA are on shared roads. The map is zoomable. Pretty cool.
