Chicken U has started the following:

"The university just announced a new systemwide initiative, called USC Commitment that will cover tuition and academic fees for South Carolina students ranking in the top 10 percent of their high school graduating class whose families earn less than $80,000 a year."


This could be significant for non-football sports. This is essentially what Vanderbilt does to almost have unlimited baseball "scholarships". Vandy is not limited to top 10% but with grade inflation and some USC friendly high school administrators this could be a way to get a few extra players and get around scholarship limits.

I know Clemson is essentially using NIL to try and have 40 baseball players basically attend free but if USUCK could move part of this cost to us taxpayers and save alumni money for other NIL deals.
