I don't think CV17 will sit for two seasons, he will probably transfer out after this season, will need extra QB for '25.

If our offense performs at the hype of the national pundits with the addition of Garrett Riley, he may be satisfied with playing the second half of every game for the next two years.

If Hebert commits tomorrow, then I don't think we will offer Hill because we already have a another QB already offered (Montgomery). Not sure what it means until Clemson staff offers, or discusses our options.
If we do offer, it may mean we are looking at taking 2 QBs in 2025. And if we do offer, it may be with the understanding that whoever commits first in the future (Montgomery or Hill), will be the only other QB we take in 2025. I don't believe we would take 3 QBs, nor do I believe either Hill or Montgomery would agree to come to Clemson if it means they are competing against 2 other QBs in the same year group.
I was totally surprised to see us offer Hebert at this stage in the recruiting process. If we offered him, I thought it would be only after we got MacIntyre, Hill, or Montgomery to commit as our primary QB for the 2025 class. Then I thought we might offer him as "project/development" choice, or as a backup in case of other injuries/transfers in the QB room.
It will be interesting to see what Clemson's next move will be if Hebert commits to Clemson!

Taking two QBs in '25 would probably eliminate your chances at a top QB in the '26 class. They might want to further evaluate the '26 class before going too far down the '25 QB board for a second one.
