Does it bother anyone that Dabo says....
Dec 24, 2012, 9:33 PM

....a loss to LSU will not have a bearing on next season ? He said before the USuck game that a loss to them would not ruin our season. I thought he sort of conceded a defeat in those statements. I could be wrong but do you really want to publicly address a loss before it happens ? Maybe I am making too much of it but I would have said...Let's play the game and see....never would I have addressed an "if we lost " question.

I really agree with Dabo that the LSU game has no bearing on next season. Losing to So Car does not "ruin" our season. But losing to So Car has diminshed our season. Dabo himself has said that the So Car game is the most important game to him, his coaches and players.

I liked his attitude with the FSU game when he said that everyone thinks we will lose and I don't blame you media for choosing FSU over us but I am the guy from the inside looking out and I know what we got. I pick my guys to win against FSU.
Now it did bother me when he said against the chickensh|ts and I clearly remember it. He should never mention the possibility of a loss to any time ...

signs all over the football facilities/locker rooms.
he immediately had them all removed.
he would not have his teams focus all year on ONE game; ALL of them are important.
you don't ever stop coaching until you are no longer the coach.
you don't dismiss a season of hard work or preparation for the next game[lsu in this case] over the outcome of one game.
and you certainly don't 'cancel' the 2013 season over the outcome of the peach bowl.
always coaching. no, that one game does not define a season.

Yes it bothers me,especially in the sense that your one quality win this season was against Ball State;and that was before they lost to CFU.

I'm also hearing Tommy Bowden statements from him i.e. we are such number of plays or points or players away from being champs or undefeated or beating such and such . We need to enter every game with the expectation of winning and when we lose we need to focus on those that are accountable .

he is actually correct. I am not going to go over every word he says and start psychoanalyzing them.

I will admit the USUCK loss ruined the season for me

and I do know I am not the only one. If it was just the first loss then know but after 4 straight losses yes it ruined the season for me but a victory over LSU can repair some of that and give me hope. I will explain why it ruined the season for me. As the season went on it was quite obvious that we were not gonna be playing a strong schedule thus the good teams we did play took on an added urgency to win and we failed at winning any of them. I had big time hope at the start of the season of breaking the coots hold of us because of all the factors we all know that were in our favor and we still gave them the victory in our house. That was devastating. There were very few Tiger fans that I know of who did not think we had a great advantage and should have not only won but win convincingly. We failed. 10 wins over who we played simply does not do it for me...I would have rather had 8 or 9 wins over strong teams then I would feel better about next year. That coot game was a MUST win game and it did not happen. Yes the sun still rose and life goes on but it completely and utterly ruined the season for me. The fans who claim it did not are only rationalizing in order to make themselves feel better. I will add won more thing. Do not underestimate the importance of this game against LSU. This game is another MUST win game for not only the Tigers but for Dabo. I would say it is one of the most important games of Dabo's head coaching career whether he understands that or not. Even the pumpers will begin to grumble if we lay an egg in that game. They will not admit it but yes they will. We lose that game and it puts extreme pressure on Dabo to defeat the Dogs next season because if we lose to LSU and then to the Dogs it could put us in a tailspin. There will be no excuses next year. Veterans all over the place, we have Morris back and second year for Venables. It is my honest opinion that Dabo must be the coots next year. A 10 win season just will not do it. If we do not win the ACC and also lose the the coots for the 5th time in a row which would be a record then Dabo needs to move on. These are my thoughts and you may not agree but it is how I would handle it if I were in charge. Of course none of this will happen if what I say goes down but it should be that way. With that said..GO TIGERS AND BEAT LSU !!!

Yet still everyone wsa unhappy with him. That was when most of our fans wanted him gone for whatever reason...I think some dude even flew an air craft over the stadium calling for his ouster. Some say it was his constant religious referencing, some say it was because he was so unpopular that people stopped going to the games. Tshirts and ect were printed up...the guy never stood a chance.

wouldn't have stood a chance. However, I will say that once Ford's recruits left the roster we took the nose dive. I could have probably one 8-9 against the ACC with the roster Ford left.
