Does our athletic director need to go?

I'm generally characterized as a pumper, but this is getting ridiculous. Aside from Clemson's football team, this may be the worst shape that I have ever seen our athletic program. Our once nationally relevant baseball, soccer and golf teams are pretty much pathetic at this point. Although our basketball team has always been pretty much mediocre, they would generally make the tourney every few years. They haven't made it in years, and I honestly don't see them returning anytime in the near future.
I'm not sure what the answer is, but I think we need to look at the top and then work our way down.

The real question is: Why did we ever hire D-Rad? I saw nothing that impressed me about him. What was the deal on him? Did he do something great at GT? I thought GT was excited that we offered to take him off of their hands.

He's raising the funds to update all of our facilities. That's what we need right now.

Look at the state of GT athletics. They're awful. Yeah they finished top 10 in football, but I'd imagine they regress towards the mean this year, which is not a very good mean.

Most of my Insect friends have mixed emotions about D-Rad because he spent most of their money on facilities and their basketball coach,Gregory. They were about to dump Johnson until this year. I think 65% were glad to see him go.

I think D-Rad's next big call will be on Leggett in May.

I really believe the only way Leggett is leaving is when he retires.

impression that DRad had been here for a good bit longer than 2 years. That does make a difference.
However, if you think that this is based on one baseball series and a basketball game, then you've had your head up your rear for years. Keep LOL.

While that's great, we didn't have to face UVa or UNC in the ACC tournament. Regular season record wasn't anything to get excited about and we lost to South Carolina.
For argument's sake, I'll admit that there is improvement on that front though.

I just want to point out that you are invalidating the ACC Soccer championship because of its format and that elite teams underperform but people lose their minds over how few ACC championships Jack has won even though he publicly acknowledges that Omaha - not the ACC tournament - is the goal. Last year was the first time in his career he failed to reach that stated goal at least once in four years - an exceptional record.

the baseball program. If other schools have recruiting advantages with the ACM or need-based financial scholarships, then D-Rad better get on that train or hit the road!
I give BB at least two more years with basketball. We lose two players who are marginal at best and have a transfer sitting out and a good class coming in.
