8 team playoff. All power 5 conferences must play a conference championship game. Conference champions automatically get in. 2 at larges get in. Highest rated non power 5 gets in. The committee would only be asked to pick the 2 at larges and then rank the 8 teams 1-8. It would take some of the bias out of the equation. Also, the conference championship games would be like playoff games as well considering the winner would get in the playoffs. It would also keep more teams alive and things interesting for a longer time throughout the year.

would not all be in it , so there would be major whining anyway ;) fwiw , i agree and have been saying the same. Win your conf, or be one of the best 2 after that. Takes away all but the flimsiest excuses.
