Eco-friendly motion detection sinks

Sep 26, 2016, 2:19 PM

The idea is okay, but god are the designs usually god awful. There's like a 2x2 inch radius in which your hands have to be at all times for water to run at all.

If I have to pick, give me a gallon per minute spigot that just SPLOOGES water. At least my hands wouldn't be so dry

Dry from soap that never gets washed off because

a wooden half-barrel of dirty water. And it's going to Hades in a hand basket what with your fancy-pants motion detector sinks and electric powered hand blow-dryers.

I BET HAYES CARLL DOESN'T EVEN WASH HIS HANDS.

Really depends on what kind it is

I have experience/knowledge of electronic faucet manufacturing. Generally the stooped plumber sets the range on them and they're too dumb to known how to set it properly. Also there's a run-off time that they can change as well. Most set to the shortest distance and the smallest run-off time and it's very annoying but when properly set they're nice.

Also, a gallon a minute ins't that much

Most public lavatories are 0.5 GPM but your kitchen sink is probably like 2.2 gpm. The real game changer is the aerator. If it lets air in the water, then there's less water. Medical faucets don't let air in and therefore you get the splooge effect. PRO TIP - take a screw driver and pop off the aerator. You'll have plenty of water.

That's all the seriousness I can do for the day.

I think TentDweller is really just hypotheticalizing.

I mean, he COULD wash his hands with a fire hose if he wants to, really.
