Clemson bound

Leaving in a couple of hours to head down to Clemson for the Signing Day BBQ tomorrow and to hang out at ESSO for the Signing Day Special. Gonna be a special day in many ways, good people, good friends, and being at Clemson anytime is just special to me. Was never able to attend Clemson, but my passion for all things Clemson was realized at an early age when my cousin took me to my first Clemson game. We lost to Kentucky that day, but I was hooked. Go Tigers!!!!!!

Any day in Clemson is a great day. My first Clemson game was against Wake Forest when I was a rat (freshman for the younger generations) in 1967. We were expected to win and we did. Ho hum. Don't recall being hooked that day. The next week we played Georgia at home. As you might expect, we were big underdogs. Tied the dawgs late, maybe even led, but couldn't hang on for the win. We lost. I was hooked for life. I'm surprised when someone gets the full "Death Valley" experience and isn't hooked, but once hooked always hooked. Even today, after all those years, the endorphins kick in when I roll into Clemson and see Bowman Field, Tillman Hall, and Death Valley. Wednesday should be a great day to be a Tiger. Dabo has us headed in the right direction. September can't get here too soon. Just spot the ball!
