ESPN College Extra..what's it mean for out of state viewers?

I'm an out of state viewer (Alum living in AR). I love watching on WatchESPN as it's typically the only method for viewing games not aired on any of my Sports channels. I'm wondering if many will now be Blacked Out for my given the announcement of College Extra and if Im going to have to purchase the plan (now likely made more expensive than GameDay given that it's also meant for Basketball).

Anyone else researching this topic have insider info on availability across platforms and the estimated price of the package for Cable viewers?

It is not really a replacement but an extension of ESPN3. Everything is digital now so I would expect this to simply provide a way to watch the ESPN3 stream from the TV. I don't know if you have Direct TV but it is similar to the golf coverage of majors with multiple extra channels. This is just a way to up the viewership of the ESPN3 broadcast so I would not expect blackouts.

Folks should really contact their network providers. I just did an online chat with COX Cable and they confirmed these HD channels will be part of the base Sports & Info pack (so no need to shell out extra funds here in NW AR!!).

I talked to Bright House rep. here in Florida,he also told me it was part of the existing ESPN sports package!!!!
