Everyone is calling for this one to be close.

Vegas says we're only a 17 point favorite. I'd be shocked if its that close. We looked really good last weekend. 45-20 Clemson.

App returns a lot of veterans and I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt. We didn't face a real offense with a pulse last Saturday. App will move the football some. A TD in garbage time.

I just dont see App State hanging on. Its pretty obvious to me that our offense is going to blow people away assuming we dont start turning the ball over. We were pretty vanilla last week, we didnt go downfield often, and I dont know the numbers of reps the 1st team on offense got but Im pretty sure it was less than 50%. A lot of the starting defense stayed on the field a LOT in the first half, and even some in the second half. Guys like Blanks, Green and Kearse played a lot going into the end of the 3rd quarter. I see 45-17, something in that range but I dont see them matching our speed on offense OR defense.

Did we even throw it to our tight ends?

I think Leggett caught one pass in the 3rd quarter, but not sure. Williams played a good bit for blocking purposes, I think I saw Smith in there for the same, but I didnt notice McCullough in at all.

I wouldn't be guessing on field goals for us just yet. Our kicking game was abysmal last year (that's being polite). It looked much better on Saturday but against an FCS opponent. I'd say it's more likely we score a three TD's and miss a PAT to make 20.
On a side note, one of our stronger defensive player's daughter died suddenly this morning. She was 11 days old. Y'all keep Devan Stringer and his family in your prayers, please.

We'll probably exercise the same ball control by running way more than passing. Our defense will substitute as soon as the first teamers get their exercise and work on everything the coaches want to see on film.
That's a recipe for a close game. Especially when Apps Tate put their starters on the field while we stretch the muscle of our third stringers. I don't know if AS is worth a worry or not but I can promise nobody will pad their stats on this team.
