*Wrong Board Again!

What a monumental win tonight. Not only does this affect our current season, but this dominating season sweep of Coastal in Coach Bakich’s first year really makes a recruiting statement for this state. This game alone was talked about to be a decider for a host regional, but that’s not true because either team could lose out in doomsday scenarios. That said, if it comes down to Clemson or Coastal for hosting a regional to the committee, they’ll pick Clemson.

RPI up to 11 now. Coastal moved down to 14th, basically swapped with us.

Opponents we’ve played in our range in the RPI are; #2 WAKE, #4 USUCK, #8 BC, #9 Duke, #14 Coastal, #20 NC State

NC State was our first sweep and when we really got hot. They dropped down in the 40s of the RPI after we swept them, but now are at #20. This extremely helps.

Clemson plays in Blacksburg this Weekend against 47th in RPI Virginia Tech. With the way we won tonight, we don’t necessarily require a sweep here. Although it would really help our cause. Still need 2 of 3 though. That’s the most important thing for the last 2 ACC series. 7 games are left and we’ve gotten through the toughest part of the schedule.

To receive a national seed (top-8) though, we need to sweep at least one, if not both VT and UNC. Then beat some of the teams above us like I mentioned in the ACCT or just a good showing in the ACCT. If we get to 40 wins I’d feel very good about a national seed.

Clemson is in 2nd place in the Atlantic, behind Wake Forest. If ACCT started today, Clemson would be #3 seed. #1 WAKE, #2 Duke, #3 Clemson, #4 Miami.

Regardless of what else happens from here, this program is turning itself around quickly.
