Exit charges and the obvious

Everybody has been dancing around the obvious...the media deal and the GOR were based on past and promised projections...the ACC has not lived up to the promised projections, thus they have breached the contracts! When the deals were signed, the contracts they were based on were at a near even level of the other schools...Those schools since have increased their deals by a large margin, while the ACC has not. That is a breach of the intent of the contracts, which should be the loophole needed to get out of the deal. The lack of increase of revenue, and then the apparent snub of the playoffs, prove the ACC has abandoned the need to increase the "stature" of the conference (which is what the agreements were based on). The ACC has not lived up to the promises of the contracts! The contracts should be nullified based on the obvious!

The ACC negotiated a bad contract with ESPN. ESPN was supposed to extend or end it back in 2019, now 2027. ACC members may not have voted on it as required, so the extension document is an issue. The 20 year term seems aggressive and revenues weak compared to SEC and Big 10. The extension may be null and void. People forget the ACC has been dominated by basketball and tobacco road schools. These contracts are looking like evidence of how weak and inept the ACC leadership is. I do not see the SEC and Big 10 making the same mistakes.

Mike Slive was masterful in setting the SEC up for success

FSU has more liability and bad faith in all of this than the ACC...yhere are very few producing schools in the ACC...even when playing WF, Pitt, BC, Syracuse, Duke, and others have lots of empty seats!...Talk about stupid BOR at FSU hired a brain dead coach to satisfy quota...and put the team in such a malaise that the team folded...that's not the ACCs fault...now the excuse that the best team they could steal, buy, cajole was not recognized was the fault of the ACC and they need more money to buy one...another one...so much for the Florida State Women's Teachers college! Someone else is not the fault!
