UGA's Kolton Houston still ineligible

"ATHENS, Ga. -- Georgia coach Mark Richt said Thursday starting offensive tackle Kolton Houston is still ineligible because he continues to test positive for a banned performance-enhancing substance he was given for a shoulder surgery more than two years ago."

Mark Richt can sing that song and blow that smoke, if Houston is still being tested postive it has not been 2 years since he had some juice.

How Long do Steroids Stay in Your Body?
LadyK8: The length of time that steroids may stay in a person's body, varies. However, steroids that have been injected into the system can take up to 3 to 4 months to leave, while oral steroids can take up to 4 weeks.

You people make me sick. You mouth off and condemn somebody for drug use but when it is Sammy....O all kids do that in college. You say it is his first time but take off your blinders people, it was the first time he got caught. Go ahead and say what a model citizen Sammy is and keep fooling yourselves. At least Mark Richt has the balls to suspend a player for arrest for drugs whish is school policy. Dabo doesnt have the balls because he knows you have zero chance of beating Auburn without Sammy.

This guy has been caught multiple times, not once. Also look at Richt on this one. http://www.tigernet.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=1126034&tstart=0

Sounds like just a suspension for a much more dangerous DUI.

I know it would be asking you to do something you have a hard time doing but if you would try to read the post you would see its UGA crying about one of their players who has tested positive now over 2 years for a drug not approved by the NCAA. UGA knew he had the surgery and been injected with the drug before the player ever came to UGA now they either want him to play or be gone.

You never know

I've heard that stuff can stay in your system for 18-20 months so I don't think 2 years would be out of the question.

The big thing about it is the player had surgery in high school came to GA on scholarship and has not be able to play for 2 years because of being injected with the drug not approved by the NCAA

Question

Aug 3, 2012, 10:37 AM

After reading this again I think we may have missed something.

"ATHENS, Ga. -- Georgia coach Mark Richt said Thursday starting offensive tackle Kolton Houston is still ineligible because he continues to test positive for a banned performance-enhancing substance he was given for a shoulder surgery more than two years ago."

How can Kolton Houston be the "starting" offensive tackle if he has tested postive for a banned performance-enhancing substance and has been ruled ineligible to play by the NCAA for more than TWO Years now, how many games has he played in during the two years of being ineligible to play.

Expertise

Aug 3, 2012, 4:12 PM

How many endocrinologists work for the NCAA? Where does the NCAA get its expertise in this area?
