seriously consider "reinventing the wheel" so to speak, rather than just chalking it up generically to "we didn't get it done." That's the problem with him and Chad, they just do the same thing again and hope to do it better next time. This is a gimmicky, one-trick-pony offense (sometimes a NO-trick-pony), that very frequently can't hack it vs. quality competition, and pads it's stats against lesser competition.
They need to move away from "we do what we do," and go back and honestly reevaluate their philosophy of the game - offense especially, at a more fundamental level.

Auburn, LSU, Ohio State.....nothing but a bunch of pad-statters....
With this gimmicky offense, we've one the ACC-Championship, had double-digit win seasons, and are attracting some premiere offensive recruits. Not a bad gimmick to me.
You guys are unbelievable some times.

and there are trends. Pay attention, dude. The point is not that Chad's offense never works, it's that it's narrow and tunnel-visioned, and when it works it's glorious, but too often, and fairly predictably, it tanks against good competition. We can't line up and play traditional football even on occasion, so we end up with this HUNH-snap it a million times-zone read, screen-pass them to death-or bust type offense.
There's something to be said for what Chad does, and there's a place for it's incorporation . . . but not as the near end-all-be-all that he makes out of the the snap count and the revolving door of formulaic playcalling.
