When it comes to Finebaum, there is no such thing as juvenile. Harsh commentary is allowed. This is the same guy that said that Clemson fans were acting like they ran college football just because we won a NC. F-Baum him.

Beware the wolf in sheep's clothing. He is an SEC, Bama homer (yes, they're one and the same). Nothing more, nothing less. Just trying to give Bama and Saban some more "disrespect" bulletin board material. Time to drive the stake through the heart of the SEC beast and watch it twist in the wind. Go Dabo! Go Tigers!

Actually Finfan, it's been predictable if you were not so blinded by you SEC jaundiced opinions. Why can't you just say, "I was wrong."

The old bait and switch . He's touting and espousing our coach , our defense and our schedule in hopes that we lose to Alabama in the Sugar Bowl ( which is what he fully expects ) so that he can pull the disguise off in time to fully get his lips planted on the SEC's tookus again . Poor guy , this awful wait must be hard on him . Obviously , Clemson is going to beat Bama again if we play our A against their A , so he's covered in saying how darn good we are either way .

Have we really had that many close games? I know we don't
Dec 14, 2017, 8:33 AM
|
|
really blow teams out this year (although we have here late in the year), but we've only had 2 games that were really in doubt all year (Cuse and State) and we split them as you would expect. This was our win expectancy in all games this year according to Bill Connelly's S&P+
Kent St - 100% Auburn - 97% Louisville - 97% BC - 100% VT - 88% Wake - 100% Cuse - 51% Ga Tech - 100% NC State - 47% FSU - 100% Citadel - 100% SCar - 99% Miami - 100%
We would've been really unlucky to lose any games outside of the two that i mentioned. This wasn't a lucky year for us where we won a bunch of games we could've easily lost. This might not have been a flashy team, they may have taken their foot off the gas at times, they might have sandbagged at times, but this was a 12-1 team that played like a 12-1 team.

HeII has frozen over! Although his back handed compliment did NOT go unnoticed. As someone else pointed out, he states that, a Clemson win will indicate that Saben is slipping and NOT that Clemson is just a better Coached Team.
Maybe it just FROSTED over!
Go Tigers!
Thanks for the Compliment, you ole FLIP-FLOPer!

Saban not slipping
Dec 14, 2017, 1:20 PM
|
|
Saban's worst season since 2008 was 2010, when they lost to Auburn, LSU, and SCar and finished 4th in the West.
They won back-to-back titles after that.
Right now, Bama's problems are:
1. Jalen Hurts is not that good a passer. 2. Turnover on the coaching staff. 3. Injuries on defense.

...and Clemson is on the rise
Dec 14, 2017, 1:30 PM
|
|
Clemson is on the rise because:
1. Dabo has assembled an excellent staff and has kept them happy. 2. Clemson's staff has a good eye for who will be successful players in the system. Bama gets all 5*s they want, but Clemson can turn 2*s into Pro Bowlers. (See Vic Beasley) 3. Clemson prefers playing backups to running up the score. This gives guys more game experience when injuries do happen.

actually, Vic was a concensus 3* Jumbo Athlete with a couple of 4* ratings that services didn't know where he would eventually play. Now, Grady Jarrett was a 2* that will be in the Pro Bowl soon, so your point does have merit, but Vic isn't the example...
