I have and will always be a big Dabo supporter. But there have been some fair criticisms leveled at him; Thin skinned, unnecessarily interjecting his opinion and having it become a negative narrative, use of the portal, etc. BUT one thing I think is still there is a guy who hates to lose, who wants to prove people wrong (still carries that chip). I know some even question this but I do not. I think if Bama does not even talk to him, along with the national narrative that Dabo's best days are behind it could be the spark that lights another run. He will want to show BAMA they made a mistake by not even considering him when he is one of their own (there is a reason BAMA clause in his contract). I think Dabo will see this as a slap in the face. May be I am wrong and may be NIL, conference re-alignment, the portal and all have so changed the game Clemson cannot climb to the top. But Dabo once again will get a chance to prove the doubters wrong and that is something he has done a great job doing since December 2008.

I can see that happening. He may not want the job, but just the fact that he was not offered will be enough to fire him up.

That should serve as extra motivation to make those who snubbed him become lugubrious, or whatever that word was that fired him up before.
