Until recently, the chemical was more valuable as a fish parasite treatment than as a malaria treatment. Same powder, but more is going to Mylan and others to sinter into pills than to the pet care business.

Grade chloroquine and the variant in aquarium cleaner, it’s that chloroquine has been sparsely mentioned, with hydrochloroquine (Much lower toxicity that chloroquine) being much more commonly cited as showing promise.
Additionally, you said LOTS of people have been ordering this cleaner and taking it. I don’t really care about market share and retailers spiking the prices......where are all the deaths? If buffoons are drinking this stuff left and right, why is this Mesa story the only story that is produced by a deep Google dive? There may be one or two in another country, but that’s it. There’s zero evidence that anyone other than these dolts actually ingested industrial grade chloroquine.

There aren't a lot of deaths

A few in Nigeria and one here are all I know of. Maybe some COVID-19 deaths are actually chloroquine overdoses - we won't know just like we won't know how many cancer deaths are actually opioid overdoses. But enough people bought it that the price rose 50X in March.
Both drugs are being used and tested in the US; you just haven't looked hard enough (try clinicaltrials.gov). But you may not get it either - industrial grade and pharmaceutical grade come from the same big canister of powder in many cases - they aren't "similar," in that case; they are identical. The label on the bottle doesn't change that. To be fair, now that there is supposedly production in the US, there may be some sources that are solely pharma.

To be clear, investigating any death aside from obvious

natural causes is standard procedure according to the article:
UPDATE, April 29, 11:17 A.M.: After publication, a spokesman for the Mesa City Police Department told the Free Beacon that it is "normal protocol" for the homicide department to investigate "all death cases (other than obvious natural causes)" and that the death "has not been ruled a homicide at this time."
But also, to your point, it seems absolutely absurd that people who are active Democrat donors would hear Donald Trump say that this drug has real promise and not only put faith him, but put so much faith in him that they decide to forgo a prescription...or to even use it in a medical form...and just put a teaspoon of fishtank cleaner in their drinks.
How awful it would be if a heartless spouse saw this as an opportunity to hurt her husband.

Conservative reporters covered it and when we brought those reports here the libs/dems/never trumpers dismissed it with cries of "FOX NEWS, HANNITY...'
After the MSM reported and circulated the story that people were dying from HCQ for a couple weeks and gave liberals something to crow about the truth is finally realized. Truth ignored until politics is satisfied.
So what's changed since the 2.5 yrs of the Russian collusion hoax? Nothing.

That’s their modus operandi, release the fake story and circulate, run a 48-72hr news cycle, imbed the impression, then move on. When fake story crumbles 2 weeks later, DO NOT publish a retraction. Damaging impressions made on day 1 have stuck and produced the desired effect. TV watchers of liberal media are none the wiser, and that’s how they want them, by design. They’ve been pulling this #### for 20 years.

Doesn't this story actually serve as some evidence of that claim? It says she gave it to him because she thought it might cure him, right?
Of course, as you know, I do reject any liability or fault for the President for this event.

They believe it was intentional.
As discussed previously, this aquarium cleaner wasn’t even close to the same formulation, so if there was a complete absence of malice, at best it was a terrible inference.

"they" believe it was intentional. In fact, the article clearly says that they open murder investigations for all events like this.
I know the article mentions several times political party affiliations and things like that, but it seems very irrelevant to me. Not sure if the news source is a kind of partisan-leaning publication, which may explain why they use language like that.

But maybe you're the one who should read the article more closely. Or maybe just read this one.
“This investigation is NOT being treated as a homicide,” Mesa police said.
According to Detective Jason Flam with Mesa Police Department, the department did assign the case to a homicide detective, but that is standard protocol.
“It is normal protocol at the Mesa Police Department for all death cases (other than obvious natural causes) to be investigated,” Flam said. “All death cases are assigned to a homicide detective for their review as a matter of protocol. Please do not confuse this fact with what is currently being reported that this case is now a homicide investigation.”

Because in the beginning, people (even here) were saying they were Trumpies that believed whatever Trump said.
So, yeah finding out that the woman is actually pretty liberal changes that argument.

The man was an engineer. His wife probably lied to him that it was HCQ or she slipped it in a beverage unbeknownst to him. Once he keeled over she sipped little before calling the police. She was a spouse abuser, and the police had been called to their home because of her abuse to him before. Neither showed signs of Covid - 19 infection either is what I heard.

Plenty of idiots make it through with memorization and the right kind of prep. I've been an adjunct over the years at a couple of schools and would probably hire fewer than 20% of the ones that actually graduate. But they were taking it as a preventative and he knew it was chloroquine, not hydroxychloroquine. They are very, very similar drugs used for the same purposes.

I mean, at least you admit you were premature. Even called me out saying I'd make a post ridiculing those who fell for it. Well, yeah, I did make a post ridiculing y'all who fell for it, so you're right there.
Now you're back pedaling even worse and claiming I said Trump killed those people. I didn't say that. I argued that Trump has supporters who are so stupid that they'll obey and lap up anything he says, even to the point where you have a case like this. And that's why his disinfectant comment was bad news.
C'mon. Just own it. Y'all eagerly believed fringe right wing media and fell all over yourselves to target me on it. It backfired.
