What is the nearest major Airport for them? I wonder if flying into Chicago or Indy and renting a car might be cheaper?

Men at 25 play football. Men at 40 play tennis. Men at 60 play golf. Have you noticed as men get older their balls get smaller.

Are you just now booking your flight?

Oct 17, 2022, 9:21 AM

We booked 3 or 4 months ago and found round trip fares to Chicago (O'Hare) with reasonable departure times in the $240 per person range. Even less if you wanted to fly out of Atlanta.

Flying into Indy and driving is a good option to consider...

Oct 17, 2022, 9:35 AM

Frontier and Spirit have reasonable fares out of Atlanta.

Frontier also has very reasonable flight from Atlanta to Midway in Chicago ($160 to $170 per person) if that is an option for you.

Good luck

We are driving. Booked hotel a year ago. Taking off the week before and doing some hunting the first part of the week then leaving Thursday and breaking the drive into 2 days. Taking Monday off as well and doing the same on the way home. I traveled for business almost every week for 5 years and now I hate flying. Driving provides much more flexibility and control of your schedule if you have the time to do it.

Anytime there are several thousand searches for flights from point A to point B the website algorithms trigger price hikes. So normal flight prices are often sent to astronomical heights.

Solution:

Find a round trip flight deal from your preferred destination to anywhere in the USA. Then find a deal to that place from your departure.

Example:

Suddenly your flights are $750 each instead of the normal $185. That’s $1500 for you and the mrs. But a round trip flight to your destination from NYC is $125. AND you found a round trip to NYC from your departure on the same dates for $125. SO, you book flights to For a total of $250 each and use the extra $1000 for hotels and food. This is how we go to the playoff games.
We learned this with all the playoff games over the last several years.
