I'm just deviling you a little. Don't mean nothing against you, just having a little fun. Matthews seemed to like you in an interview he gave, said Clemson was trying but seemed to indicate being in the ACC was a big negative.

People may not want to hear it but I think every guy we have missed on has committed to an SEC school. If you don't think that is the biggest negative against Clemson you're fooling yourself. The fact Clemson can recruit as well as they can is something you shouldn't frown at. The thing that helped Clemson above all else is having a guy like Dabo and the success under him. That is why getting back to the Playoffs is imperative. We have to counteract the SEC and the only way to do that is win. Either that or get the heck out of the ACC.

Disagree. The biggest negative we have is the crap show offense we rolled out there the last two years. Until proof is shown we are wanting to be dynamic again the top talent will mostly go elsewhere.

Agree!! It’s time to bolt for the SEC!! We lose too many good recruits because they want to play for the SEC. Imagine what Dabo can do with recruiting if we weren’t in the ACC?

When does he plan to commit?
If the issue is a “proven offense”..
Hopefully Matthews waits until some point during the season.
Both Tennessee and Clemson have new offensive coordinators. Neither offense is proven yet…Tenn promoted from within. You could argue it’s Heupel’s offense and I’m sure that’s what Tenn is selling.
Clemson has a proven offense. It just hasn’t been seen at Clemson yet, but there’s plenty of evidence as to what Garret Riley can do.
If Matthews makes his decision during or after the season that should help us significantly.
