The ACC is now asking for 50 million to go with the 20 million buyout from each of the schools.

and since TCU is not an official member of the Big XII yet

this AD can comment all he wants without being legally accused of tampering. He can call TDP directly and TDP can still say truthfully that he hasn't spoken with anybody in the Big XII.

he said schools "like". He did not say schools "such as". Darn near every FBS school in the country could be considered a school "like" FSU, Miami, Clemson. NC State is a school like Clemson. Louisville is a school like FSU.

I hate to say it, but despite our issues with the ACC, the baffoonery in the B12 makes Swofford & Sons look almost presidential.
I lived in Columbia, MO, home of Mizzou for 11 years. This is pretty typical, and on the mild side I might add.

I wouldn't go so far to say our BOT & President are "trying

get in", not anything like Syracuse, Pitt, and West Virginia were "banging on the door" of the ACC last year. But there certainly seems to be some sort of discussion.

Guys this is the most anybody has heard of the ACC football "elite" being interested in going to the Big 12. BOT is having a special meeting to discuss the changing landscape tomorrow. What are the facts??? Does Clemson have an out penalty? Would VTech or FSU need to come along to make 12? Were Texas, Texas Tech, OU and OK State really turned down to join ACC recently?

Tdp has long standing relationships with the guys in the Big 12. He has their ear and is certainly positioning Clemson behind the scenes. It will work out for Clemson.

He was asked a question about the stability of the B12 now vs. one year ago.
My understanding is that he said something along the lines of this: (and I am paraphrasing)
It wasn't that long ago that we were reading reports of several charter B12 teams leaving the conference. Although some left, the core remained and reacted by adding West Virginia and TCU. Today, you don't hear about programs leaving the B12. Instead, you are reading about schools like Florida State, Clemson and Miami wanting to join the B12. The B12 is in a much stronger, more stable position now than it was a year ago.
