"Dot Com" AKA - Gene has an update this morning at Warchant. He mentions the work that FSU is doing around due diligence on Big Ten membership and an ESPN meeting this morning.

Gene is pretty well connected at FSU similar to our Hood.

ESPN thought they were running the show and could knock Clemson and FSU down by locking them into a long term substandard revenue stream so mediocre SEC teams would pass them by.

Now maybe Clemson and FSU have invited BIG lawyerly types to find the escape clause and bring two big properties to FOX. This puts ESPN over a barrel to the point maybe Clemson and FSU demand 85% of SEC shares to stay in the ACC. ESPNs only other option is then to instigate the move of Clemson and FSU to the SEC.

Like a dang soap opera.

At the end of the day I’m hoping that ESPN does get screwed. They started all this BS years ago.

Because they have the ACC over the barrel. They don’t want to renegotiate the sweetheart deal they have us bound to. Basically already have us down. We go to the B1G we are with FOX. We go with the SEC they will be paying that conference more. I believe they prefer it to stay as it is. Just my opinion. Not all conspiracy theories are found to be false after things have time to play out.
