Posted strictly for entertainment purposes.
Background:
Fans, from any school, have a tendency - before the season starts - to overestimate their team and to trash any other team.
This is purely anecdotal, not meant to be representative all the typical FSU fan.
I was listening to a Tallahassee, LF radio sports talk station. There is a 2 hour program every afternoon hosted by warchant.com (leading internet site for FSU football). It is live-streamed on youtube. There is a chat room going on as it is being aired.
Here is a string of comments in the chatroom at some point during the program (the program was focusing on LSU, Clemson never was mentioned). I'll put my comments in bold. There were two or three guys besides me making comments about Clemson.

It's gonna be FSU vs. UNC in the championship game.
You are underestimating Clemson.
Clemson won't be a factor in the ACC this year.
You are underestimating them. They will be excellent.
They have no receivers.
Their receivers suck.
There only playmaker is a white guy.
But, he's pretty good.

Personally, I hope that Bretfsu will stay off all talk radio shows if he's going to say don't underestimate Clemson. If that's what he has to say, he should be a good Clemson fan friend and stay off talk radio, and if he is going to go on them anyway, I hope he will keep his mouth shut about Clemson bc I don't want them knowing a thing about Clemson or the players that we have on roster this season bc, there's nothing more attractive and funny to a Clemson fan in DV than when they look around and see our opponents fans sitting their looking like their world has just ended, and they are clueless of how it happened!!!

.... Clemson is far and away my second favorite team. No other team is even close. The difference between #1 and #2 is far smaller than the difference between #2 and #3.
As for Clemson vs. FSU this year, I think that this is the best chance FSU has to beat Clemson since 2014. All indications are Norvell hit another mother lode (even better than last year) in the portal. This year FSU returns 87% of it's offense. Next year it will probably be about 20% returning.
However, I'm not nearly as optimistic as some of my friends are about beating Clemson. I think both offenses will be able to move the ball and score on the other defense. I think that right now FSU has the better offense. But, I also think Clemson has the better defense. I'm expecting something like a 35-31 game. We'll know more by the game, but as of today I would give the slight edge to Clemson.

The fact they couldn't cash in on a W in the 2 chances against the DJ/Streeter combo was a big missed oppurtunity. FSU is loaded, but we'll be different offensively as well.

Good thing we play them early, they’ll be so Fresh as Mafah & Shipley run all over the place opening up thos passing lanes. It’ll be over by halftime.
If they make it back to the ACC championship it might be a little tougher but I believe we’ll be healthy then too. What about FSU OL, better hope they stay healthy too!

The way they have rebuilt is pretty amazing. It got pretty bad for a time but it looks have turned around.

I'm not acting like that at all. Your statement that we need "drastic improvement" to win the ACC, which we just accomplished last year, is a "drastic exaggeration". It's also a curious thing to state, considering we've already changed our two glaring weaknesses - QB play and play calling.

Fans often assume everything that could go wrong will go wrong for opponents, while only the best possible out-comes for their team.
Why else would South Carolina fans assume they're going to beat Clemson, and play for an SEC Championship every year?
Personally, I expect Garrett Riley to do Garret Riley things, so the offense should be much improved. I can't imagine every single one our our 4* receivers being injured again, or playing as bad as they did in Streeter's offense.
Even if only the offense improves, I think Clemson will be a lot better than last year. If the Defense improves too, well let's not get ahead of ourselves.

sniffed since Bobby Bowden was in his stride at FSU. Even the good years of the Jimbo Fisher era were short lived at FSU.
I perfectly expect FSU to be better this year than they have been in recent years. They may even be "very good to great" considering they are being led by an experienced 23 year old QB.
BUT... in order to be the man you have to beat the man and since most of the current roster at FSU was in Junior High School the last time FSU "beat the man", I think a little QUIET confidence is in order before making pronouncements that players on the reining champs "suck".

If FSU has lost respect for Clemson without actually beating them, lol, that’s crazy. DJU gutted the programs reputation. Hope Riley can turn it around. Pretty bad when a team that has sucked for most of 20 years loses respect for what’s been accomplished at Clemson.

You have to keep in mind that most rural FSU fans are only one grade level above the Usuck fan, which would put them at a nominal 3rd grade level in football knowledge and bump them up from single to a double wide in the trailer park.
