Funny story about the Alabama brand and logo...

I was working at a local car dealership today when i noticed an Alabama cup on the desk where several ladies were working, so I politely asked who was the big Bammer fan(hoping to start some football conversation). Everyone at the desk started laughing and I was politely informed that there were no Bammer fans there and that the cup in question had been a gift to Alicia from her mother because there was a big "A" on the cup so that she could put it on the desk and everyone would know this was Alicia's cup. She and her mother had no idea that this was supposed to be an Alabama cup until she took it to work and everyone started asking about Alabama. I asked Alicia if I could post her story on Tnet and she said yes and proudly posed with her cup with her initial on it.

Who knew? I mean, it's not like it is the most recognizable team logo in all sports, like the most awesome trademarked PAW logo of the mighty Clemson Tigers.

i have some inlaws who are rough around the edges. grew up that way. my nephew's grandmother is a big bingo player/jockey lot aficionado if that tells you anything.
well, several months ago i go over to their house and she is there delivering gifts to them (that she won at bingo) like always. She has a big heart, you see.
anyway, she hands my nephew a big, 3" orange 'T' on a necklace. She of course thinks its perfect since his first name begins w a T. The 'T' is for Tennessee! It is hideous. That will provide many laughs for a while.

My wife's grandma bought my son a Carolina basketball jersey (chapel hill that is) at the store cause she liked the colors. Needless to say it disappeared in less than a week and he never put it on. I hate to throw away stuff, but that didn't bother me a bit. Plus I think she got it from Goodwill.
