Furious right now - I hate FedEx

Bought tickets and parking pass Wednesday and booked hotel for tonight and tomorrow. We planned to take our girls to their first Tigerama. The parking pass was purchased on Stub Hub and the seller sent it FedEx overnight priority from Atlanta to Florence and delivery was supposed to be made by noon Thursday.
For some dumb reason FedEx sent it to the Memphis hub and then to Virginia. I guess they realized how stupid they were in Virginia, marked it delayed and then sent it back to Memphis. The new delivery date was today by noon. They finally get it to Florence and it’s out for delivery. Noon comes and goes and they change the delivery time AGAIN to end of day.
Now here I sit at home waiting on the parking pass 2 hours after the time we were supposed to hit the road and likely will miss Tigerama.
I’m beyond furious.

Not in time for what we had planned. But just in time to drive down and basically go to sleep which is a waste of money. Still unhappy about the whole situation. Pure incompetence by FedEx.

You could call the IPTAY office and tell them what is happening. They likely could print another parking pass for you and pick it up at Will Call on Saturday morning. Will Call used to be James F. Martin Inn. They would charge $30 to reprint it.

Try parking elsewhere on campus. Employee spots across from bowman up on the hill are almost always empty. Nobody checks on a Friday night.

Years ago I had a trip planned with the girlfriend and we had several things make us late getting on the road.
I was getting POd that we were on our way!
She looked at me and said would you be angry if the delay kept us from being in an accident.
Since then, I dont worry about delays….

When I order things that will be shipped via FedEx I ask them to not use them. They can’t get anything right, stuff is in most cases damaged and you have to jump through hoops to get a replacement. Absolutely refuse to have anything shipped via that lousy company.

Recently their truck pulled into our receiving dock at work and before the FedEx guys starting unloading the boxes the driver pulls out a huge blunt, takes a few puffs, then hands it over to his driver helper for a few puffs… THEN complete the delivery.
🤦🏻
They just don’t give a 💩.

Overnight always go through Memphis, for what it’s worth, but since Covid, FedEx is notoriously unreliable. I used to work with them every single day of my life, and I always planned an extra day. If somebody pressured me to have something in hands the next day, I tell had to tell them it’s not guaranteed. covid ruined FedEx’s reliability . I’m glad I’m out of that business.
