Genius of Heather Dinich at it again

The VT love fest continues in her ACC Power Poll
6. Virginia Tech (2-1, 0-0 ACC, last week: 6). The Hokies squeaked out a victory over East Carolina, with yet another outstanding defensive effort. If they get performances like that every week, they will be a serious threat in the Coastal. Top D in the league and it's not even close.
"Outstanding defensive effort"
"If they get performances like that every week, they will be a serious threat in the Coastal"
"Top D in the league and it's not even close"
She said SERIOUS THREAT IN THE COASTAL LOLOLOL

stop giving her mouse clicks---do NOT visit her blog. I think that's the only way we're going to be rid of her. She's making a mockery of sports journalism.
Seriously....would Spurlid get her fired if she wrote such things about the horrible SEC Least?

Right at about 6. They've won 2 games on defense and held Bama to less offense than anyone in years. I think we'd win 31-10.

All of those things are probably true, the problem is that

their offense is just as bad as their defense is good. They are going to play a bunch of low scoring, ugly games this season, and their FG kicker has been miserable so far this season (karma?), so that probably doesn't bode well for them in close games.

I will have to acknowledge that seven sacks, eleven tackles for loss, and three interceptions is a pretty good days work for a defensive unit. The Hokies also held ESU to a meager 3-for-11 on third-down conversion attempts.

Name 1 defense in the ACC better?

Did you see how VT defense was manhandling the Alabama offense. The same Alabama offense that put 49 on A&M.

Yeah, but Bama didn't take the game with VT seriously....

I mean, it wasn't against a SEC team so it didn't matter to them. Isn't that the conference mantra.

Rice put up 31 and Sam Houston St. Put up 28 on that A&M defense.

Let's hope that VT wins the Coastal - and we win the Atlantic - NCG here we come.
I keeed - VT can't win the Coastal unless GT and Miami and UNC say they don't want it.

Are you talking about a glorified blogger? Although that might be disrespectful to bloggers... some of them are much better than the people ESPN hires.

They *are* a serious threat in the Coastal. Because pretty much everyone in that division is a serious threat, except maybe Duke.
