It is also why the playoff teams should be comprised of conference champions because the teams would chosen on the field instead of the board room

When we go to 12 teams, we'll basically be getting the conference champions from the ACC, B1G, PAC-12, Big12, and the SEC. The other 7 teams will be the B1G championship loser, the SEC championship loser, and 5 other SEC teams (unless ND is actually having a decent year, then only 4 extra SEC teams).
