Now we just have to win 1 out of the next 3 tough games. Uva at home and then unc and syracuse on the road. After this stretch we play 5 of 8 at home. If we simply win our home games and take 1 or 2 road games we are easily in the tourney. Honestly, if we just go .500 the remainder of the way, we should be in the tourney.

Problem is the dumb @$$ Net rating crap will hate us for grinding out an ugly win even if it should show team reliancy even on an off night.

NET rating is almost irrelevant at this point. It’s where we finish in the ACC. We’re alone in 10th. There aren’t many scenarios where we get a bid if we finish below 6th place and none if we’re below .500 in conference.

Hey ding dong. There are 11 games left. We can’t go .500 the rest of the way. If we win 1 of the next 3 we’re 5-7 with 8 games left. I don’t know why it is so hard to grasp that we are more restricted by where we finish in conference than our NET number. They aren’t going to make us the 3rd pick from the ACC if we’re 8th in the conference. The ACC increasingly looks like a a 3 bid league. And, there is always the possibility a wild card team wins the ACC tournament, blocking us out. For someone who swears you’re really into basketball you really don’t have the slightest grasp how this works.
