Goodwin Has The Unknown Going For Him Now ---

The defense is experienced and uber talented. The coaching experience and situational tendencies is what concerns me. I'm sure there will be some head scratch moments .....but nobody is not going to figure out Goodwin right away......which I'm also intrigued about with wondering what he wants to do with all this talent on defense.

They say he is the reason we got plays in so late; because he recognized formations and Coach V would adjust the defense to fit the play they were likely to run.
That is the sole thing I am concerned with. I don't worry about the rest of it TBH. He's shown he knows his stuff and with a full off-season to get his plan in motion; I expect to see a top-level defense take the field. Not just because of the talent; but because they are well prepared.

I think coach Eason is going to be an upgrade as DL coach which should scare the heck out of everybody! Goodwin knows LB and hopefully knows how to instruct them on some of the keys to lookout for.

I think it's going to be a fresh P.O.V and new film opponents won't be able to go back years and years on.

I can't wait to see Wiggins and Jones back there. Hearing a lot of good things coming out of camp about both.
Wiggins is the younger guy; but is said to be coming along very fast!

Should be good for them having the front we do. But, I think they are good in their own right, which is a scary thought(or should be) for offenses.

It's nearly time to start talking position battles and expectations for the season. Most tnetters are consumed with "expansion". A bunch of worry about something the average fan; can't influence. I talk about it; and let it go.

But, on to football. I think Jones has one of those classic "he waited his turn and now it's going to pay off type years"! And, Wiggins will be a future star if he doesn't break out as one this year!

Also, looking forward to seeing how our OL being more physical in practice will influence our DL physical assertion.
The attitude and toughness of the team is paced by that OL. Have a finesse OL and you likely have a technically sound Defense that uses more scheme and finesse to get the job done. But, have an OL that is physical and tough and that defense that has to face them daily tends to get tougher as well. The whole defense; especially if one of the big dudes gets to plow one of those safeties or CB in the box, LOL!

Let's hope TigerLTF!
