A good customer of mine had a craft supply business just outside of Chicago at the top of Fridge's fame. He told me that William lived near and passed by in his pickup just about every day. He said that William always gave him a wave and had a big smile on his face.

I was doing a trade show in Chicago the day the Bears won the Super Bowl. Car horns in the street honked until about 4 the next morning.

Chicago was a great city back then, and I loved going there, but I won't go now.
