Friday night, my eyes were dilated from my annual exam and that makes me feel like doing nothing, so I did.
Saturday, got to work on those things for McLovin then went to the Brent Cobb concert. Shorty stood us up again. One day he will realize he's too busy to buy tickets to stuff. Show was good, probably my last one at the current Radio Room. Can't describe my level of shock at the baseball comeback.
Sunday, finished up those things for McLovin, they are kinda rough looking and he may not want them in the end, but I gave it my best. Turns out BCX plywood likes to splinter and chip and whatnot. Nearly an equal level of shock at another baseball comeback. Watched only the most stressful parts of the basketball game. My ire towards Brownell has calmed a bit.

Fri night - Met fam at Smokin Pig. McJr had a friend stay over 2 nights.
Sat - Played outside most of the day and grilled burgers for dinner
Sun - Church in the morning, played outside some more and had friends over. Caught the first ever fish on my own property after living here for over 10 years. We have a small creek on the property line that is about 5 ft at the widest pt. Caught a small creek chub / horny head on a roller worm.

Sharkgirl did the training one year with a coworker. Said coworker insisted on taking the kit for himself and no stream ever got monitored. It is possible our degrees of separation just shrank.

Fri - made steak and baked taters. Got offered free tent passes to the steeplechase from a friend, so mostly chilled for the evening in preparation.
Sat - make way to Steeplechase. Tent was pretty cool, but went to infield to see the commoners. Spent some time with flow0440. Visited another couple spots, back to tent. Made the WISE decision to have a bourbon during the last race. Went to a wine bar kind of place after the races, but the bourbon started to set in hard (on top of all of the other drinks). Tapped out and went home.
Sun - chilled and watched tv/golf/basketball. Went to Mellow Mushroom to watch 1st half of basketball game, ran into APM as mentioned previously. Ran by Fresh Market and got some wings and make it home for most of second half. Happy for the Tiger win, and also a little shocked. But hey, great job team. In second place of family pool, wife is in 1st place.

my biggest issue was with the one piece needing a 45 degree on two edges. The long side of the trapezoid came out too long. I also have two nice scratches on the table saw now. I don't think this to be catastrophic but will come up in my 1 year review video. I did charge a little bit extra for my time.

Friday...came in early so I could get home in time to watch our game. Was a fun game to watch.
Saturday...up early and drove to Aiken for Steeplechase. Weather turned out to be perfect...had many beers, but kept it together. Saw a lot of wimmins in spring dresses with their ##### falling out. Laughed at the girls trying to walk around in heels in the mud. Won bets on 3 races. Had a BigDaddy sighting.
Sunday...got back home by noon. Grocery run. Watched a lot of basketball. Enjoyed our game immensely. Seemed like we were going to give it away at the end with a series of bone-head plays, but Godfrey came through on defense and on the line. Basically, their freshman missed 2 FT's at the end and our Soph made 4. Hope Hall got all of his bad play out of his system. We'll need him on Thursday to have a chance vs Arizona.
Sold weekend of Clemson sports, horses, and #####.

Saturday, worked out, went and helped oldest son lay 2 pallets of sod, then went to Wofford to see friends son pitch and pick up the win vs El Cid. Sunday church, cut grass, went to hymn sing to start of Holy Week, then home to watch fightin Brownells

Friday, had planned to go see Doug Pritchett from New Potato Caboose do a solo gig at Rock Hill Brewing but it was weathering pretty hard and we ended up laying around the shack waiting for the mail train to come back. Watched some basketball, and realized at 1:45 that there was really no reason to stay up and watch Grand Canyon and St. Marys and finally went to bed.
Saturday, mostly chores and such. Had our 119th quarterly Supper Club gathering Saturday night. Went to Hickory Tavern, which is just done the road so close to home and we picked that because everybody wanted to keep and eye on March Madness. Food was OK, place is a LOUD and echo-y sports bar, but a grand time was had by all because of the people there. Still, 30 years of gatherings with the same crew of life-long Rock Hill friends is pretty impressive. Most of us core member guys have known each other since elementary school.
Sunday, grocery run, then came home to clean up the Mazda to sell. This vehicle was so completely filthy I probably should have posted it for sale on pronhub. Still needs some touch-up, but I wouldn't have any qualms about showing for sale as it sits. Finished in time for tip off, and I think we all know how that went.
Between baseball and basketball, the weekend would have gotten a perfect 19/19 Covids on its own. Add in Supper Club, and I'll bump it to 21/19.

so between them getting ready for the school dance at our house, taking them to dinner, chic-fil-a for breakfast the next morning, etc etc, I watched a little shooty hoops. YoutubeTV still hasn't fixed the glitch where I say I want a 20 minute preview and I watch for hours, so I watched alot of basketball this weekend.
Dinner out Saturday night for wife's bday. Shark Bar on Wrightsville isn't anything to write home about and they have recently raised prices a good bit, might not be heading there much anymore. It was decent. Sunday was for laundry, basketball, and grocery run.

Friday picked up son-of's car from mechanic and paid basically what car is worth on pretty much one of everything. Made appt for tires and alignment for this morning because I hadn't shat away enough money yet. Then got busy at work when I was trying to watch hoops game, but saw enough to enjoy the win.
Saturday AM tackled washing machine problem I posted about here. Did not get it fixed but I *think* the pump is shot, so ordering a replacement. I'm not replacing the whole electronics board so this is last hope for the washer.
Frustrated with incomplete washer job I decided to knock out a couple super-simple plumbing chores - replace flapper in one terlit and filler valve in another. This is where it all went wrong. When I turned off water supply to replace the flapper, I noticed the old valve dripped some. Replaced flapper and went to turn water back on, it dripped A LOT. And I fiddled with it hoping to find magic place where it wouldn't drip but alas it only got worse and would only stop in fully off position. Did I mention wife is having colonoscopy Tuesday? So non-working terlit is a no go. I'm going to have to shut off all water to house at the street, drain everything, cut old crusty valve off and replace. By now it is Saturday evening. I go ahead and replace filler valve in other terlit without too much drama. Read up on Clemson baseball's grand day over noles, good stuff.
Sunday I go to Ace for supplies, shut off water, drain system without too much trouble, cut pipe, one more trip to Ace because doing it in one trip is impossible, then get everything connected, water back on, no leaks, clean up. Phew.
I'm tired of this all-day DIY crap so go for nice walk Sunday afternoon at Connestee. Another noles-crushing win for baseball. Then come home and shower, watch fightin Bradholes beat Baylor, life is good. TLDR - replacing terlit flapper turns into major plumbing project. Survived.

Friday, on the road by 1. Only 100 miles to the St Augustine Amphitheater. So I'm parked in the tailgate lot by 2:30
What? No games on in Elk's Lodge AND you have to be an Elk to get in? Crap, this is why I arrived early. Dear Uber: please take me to sports bar. Go Tigers. I'm me, so by the end of the game half the bar is cheering me and my Tigers on. Good times had. Uber back to lot in plenty of time
Meet friends and they say, oh come in with us, we have special access at The Amp. Private bar with private restrooms and they bring out free pizza later. Very happy. Night one of Panic pretty good. Seats 6 down from the front Schools side
Saturday bloodys, sangria, and brunch in the historic district. Met wife and her old Clemson roommate at beach hotel and tailgated very hard before show. Kept wearing Amp special wristband and it worked again. This time wife and old roomie were top row, but I was in the pit with an actual hard ticket (had not seen one of those in a while).
This was the best Panic show I've seen in 6 years of going to the Amp. They blew the doors off the place. Diner was probably the highlight for me. Chocolate coins were good but made for an interesting drive home.
Sunday, lifetime extension. Woooooo
18/19 COVIDS. Would have given it all 19, but someone got a major ground score courtesy of me Saturday night, and way too many Panic fans huffing baloons after the Saturday show. Oh well, it happens

I've had some kind of allergy/virus malady since Thursday. Coughing almost non-stop, especially at night (of course). Achy, sneezing, nose running, sore throat, can barely talk or breathe and coughing up green stuff. Oddly enough, no real fever. It got just a tad over 99 for a short time, but that's it. I soldiered into work today like a good boy, but as Grandma used to say, I'm slap wore out!

Fri - took fam for weekly casa de dawghater pizza night.
Sat - up and at em w/ kiddos. cooked breakfast, took kids to in-laws for the day / night.
wife and I went DT. stayed at a nice motel and had us a good steak dinner for celebratin getting hitched. place had a bottle of stag's leap artemis (cab), which is one of my favorites at the moment, so that was a nice cherry on top.
I just went with a regular strip. wife got the wagyu filet, and I was surprised how good it was. thinking the wagyu benefits on a lean cut like that would've been meh, but naw it was fire. and you can never say no to lobster mac and cheese.
had a few swanky cocktails (well, she did) after. I drank WAYYYY too much bourbon. Think 6 Blanton's was my final tally. so dumb.
avoided whiskeydick for when it mattered, though, somehow by the grace of all that's holy
Sun - holy hangover. put mornin wood to use, got some room service, then headed to pick up chirren.
got home and had a hood hangout w/ frands and kids (8 total kids btwn 3 couples, oldest is 5, ha!). cooked a pork tenderloin and ptfo
did not make gym, b/c Immabitch. sinuses wrekt. either allergies or allergies + daycare plague that was here all last week. 2 day hangover to boot.

Was great. Spent Friday night at the farm. Saturday morning turkey hunted, then me and my brother planted 26 new oak trees along the edge of a stand of pines, sawtooths and white oaks. They’ll make deer food for generations. Sattidy night grilled steaks and drank wine at bros house, yesterday the kids sang in church then I couch snoozed the rest of the day.

Which is something I haven't done for at least 87 days, which is how long its been since I had a beer.
I've been traveling steady for the last 3 weeks--leave on Mon, come back on Friday night or Saturday, and working 12-18 hours a day during the week. On Saturday after my plane was delayed twice for 4 hours (and I got to the airport 3 hours early so I could be on a call), I was in Tampa airport for almost 8 hours. I decided that was as good a day and reason as any to go ahead and break my sobriety.
I had a few drinks last night as well, as the guitar player for Hans and the 86ers was in town and they had an awesome show at the Southern.
Once again, for about the 20th time in my life, not drinking didn't offer me any life changing retrospectives, nor did I ever feel so great that I wanted to tell everyone about it. I didn't drop an ounce of weight.
I originally stopped drinking because I was having a random pain in my right side that I thought was my liver, but since it was still occurring up to as late as 2 weeks ago, I knew either the damage was already done, or it was something else. Through diet trial and error, I've narrowed it down to the cause as chocolate, or too much sugary foods. That's much harder to break than stopping drinking was.
Looking back over the last 88 days, I did probably sleep a little better, but it was cold and rainy for most of that time, so that might have happened any way. I never even saw any noticeable increase in my bank account, but certainly there has to be if from nothing but the lack of uber trips.
Once again, I conclude that I probably don't drink enough that it really matters.
Oh yeah, the weekend was really a weekend day, so here I am again.

developed a gluten intolerance so late in life. It's very hard to diagnose so if it persists, I'd keep that one in your back pocket. The doctor who was finally able to diagnose her said she's a rare case of actually being celiac, but also said that a majority of people have at least some level of gluten sensitivity.

saturday - traveled to raleigh for lilclash3 sorority soirée. again, way too much wine and switched to vodka/soda. don’t remember much after that. couple talented moms there and got one moms number. she was very milfy. milfy, but married. can’t go that route, so ghosting her.
sunday - church/forgiveness. did not watch tigers cause brad. expectations always low with that toolbag. that may be the good luck clover - so will not watch. been wrong on picking against them so 3rd time charm
