Keith Adams

Good to see Tony Steward mention KA. I hope imparts much of his wisdom and toughness to our defense. Can't help but think those young linebackers won't get a quantum boost from KA being there. Spot the ball!

Always loved him as a player. He made a hit on Watson at the goal line once that would be talked about for years if a coot hadn't recovered the ball in the end zone. It was on a par with Dunham's hit on Ryan

I think Venables is truly grateful to have him....he's got a LOT on his plate this fall. This is something Steele never took advantage of; glad to see this change for the better.

Screw Calford.

Favorite KA story

Aug 7, 2012, 10:30 AM

i was working the sidelines as a SCHP Trooper one year in WB against the Chickens and i struck up a conversation before kickoff with KA, Robert Carswell, Brian Wofford (RIP) and Damonte Mackenzie about my contempt for the Chickens, growing up in Columbia, wanting us to beat them 100-0 one time before i died, etc....i told KA to "get one of them for me today"....in the third quarter (i was behind the bench talking to Brian Wofford who was on an exercise bike staying loose) KA caught a Chicken TE coming across the middle on a drag route and blew him up.....ball went flying out incomplete, mouthpiece flew out and it sounded like a gunshot...he staggered off the field. I can't remember who it was but he remembers i'm sure. KA came running off the field, saw me and said, "OFFICER, I GOT ONE FOR YOU!...I GOT HIS ASSSSSSSSSS!".....i wanted to run on the field myself....Robert Carswell came off the field yelling, "THEY'RE QUITTING....THEY ARE QUITTING, THEY DON'T WANT NONE!!!".....Brian Wofford said to me, "those boys are crazy man...". In my opinion, KA is among the top 4 LB's we've ever had. If i had my starting 4 LB's all time at Clemson it would be: THE JUDGE, Levon, Anthony Simmons and KA.....and i'd rotate in Ed McDaniel, Bubba Brown, Leroy Hill and Wayne Simmons....beasts. Having him around can't be anything but a good thing for our young LB's.

thanks for sharing. KA was definitely a wrecking ball.

for all Clemson defensive players to attend film sessions with highlights from the collegiate careers of Jeff Davis, Levon Kirkland, and Keith Adams narrated by.....Jeff Davis, Levon Kirkland and Keith Adams.

I think Jamaal Fudge is the last Clemson player who comes to mind with the attitude those three guys showed on the field....and honest to goodness, at times, it was scary watching Levon from the stands--I can't imagine what it must've been like looking across the line of scrimmage and seeing him.

those LB's we had back then

Aug 7, 2012, 10:37 AM

were so talented it was ridiculous....Levon, Ed McDaniel, Wayne Simmons and the underrated Ashley Sheppard......James Earle comes to mind too....Henry Walls too with Jesse Hatcher...football players...the best athletes on the team and they played downhill and drilled folks and most importantly, CREATED TURNOVERS. THE JUDGE to me is the best football player i've ever seen at Clemson. If those kids watched THE JUDGE, Levon and KA film, narrated by them, they'd be watching a clinic on film.
