Because in the current model, we can almost always finish in the top 2 of our conference. Stay with tbe ACC, schedule a solid non conference game or 2 each season, and make the playoffs. Why create a more difficult path? Take advantage of the system and ride our reputation to future title shots. It's a no brainer !!

And I think he is in hospice now and kid(s) will be taking over.
But is no different than when he threw crap against the wall two weeks ago or a month or last October or August, etc

FSU and UNC to BIG
Clemson and VT to SEC
FSU and Clemson to B1G
UNC and UVA to SEC
Or make up any combination of Miami, FSU, GT, Clemson, UNC, NCSU, UVA, and VT to any combination of SEC, B1G, and Big 12 and your guess is as good as his.

I have resigned myself to being in the ACC for the foreseeable future, and as time goes by I am less and less in favor of joining either of the Big 2.
Staying in the ACC, particularly if it stays intact, is not the end of the world. If we leave, my top preference might be the Big 12.
But I have no input into or control over such things. I will just say the serenity prayer and keep pulling for my Tigers, regardless of what banner we are playing under or what championship we are playing for.

Who knows what to believe anymore. I have been seeing some FSU and ND to B1G. Don’t know if that combo is even a possibility. I know everyone is entitled to their opinion and everyone has a reason, but I don’t understand why anyone would want to go to the Big 12. They are a bunch of misfits and rejects. They have been safe because no one wants their teams. They lived off of Oklahoma and Texas giving their conference meaning. They are going to fall into obscurity because there are no teams with any national draw. Who is their best matchup?
