With Caden gone, and besides Cam and the other good young ones still here, who are some other young guys or recruits that you expect to come in and be the next Grice, or Beer. We usually seem to have one guy like that recently.

Shortstop will be up for grabs. Jay Dillard out of TL Hanna sat this year because of Blackwell, but he was a good player in high school. Barren Purify is a good recruit with a 10 out of 10 Perfect Game rating.

There’s multiple guys in our 2023 class that have 10 ratings by PG. Dillon Head is the best one. An All American Classic player in 2022.

It’ll be interesting to see how we transition from a leader like Caden and others like single. They went through so much at Clemson, and the way their careers played out with coaching and adversity is something only few players go through. Very tough guys.

Probably right, but I think he should stay and get another year of pitching under his belt for the scouts but I know money and potential talks louder than a S͏e͏n͏ior season at Clemson.

Can't find the source now, but I remember seeing an article that suggested coming back would be in his best interest. Listed items were "How many people can really do the Ohtani thing and play two positions well in the pros," "Does he play pitcher or field moving forward, which could downgrade his draft score" and "Which year was the aberration, 22-23, or 21-22? He needs another good year to prove it."

I still think he's gone, but I'd love if he looked at those reasons and said one more year.

I am sure Grice needs to see what his standing would be in a draft. He has some pretty good honors, and if he is projected top 10, it would be hard to come back, but if projections have him lower, I think another year under Bakich would be to his benefit. And that team really bonded.

I talked to a scout the other day. He said he a late 1st early 2nd. Asked what position and his response was "whoever takes him will take him at both and see which one he fails at"
