GT and the Big 10 is the buzz at the Jacket web site.

Dec 1, 2012, 9:33 AM

Once they go, you know it won't be long before the SEC swoops up VT and NC State. I hope Barker and Wilkins aren't still talking up the ACC then. I can't imagine staying in the Big East 2.0. I wish that Dr. RC and Coach Frank had gotten out of the ACC in 1971; then USuCk would be in this predicament that we find ourselves today. But there really is no "hot tub" machine to go back in time. We need to make lemonade out of a lemon.

GT is no prize. They may be looking at TV market in the Atlanta area, but GT has so few fans the viewing won't be impacted. Take a look at the ACCCG today, and you will see just how much they bring to the table. They are no prize.

Also 1982 would have been a good time to bolt from the ACC.

That's right after they stuck us with an additional year of probation. And that's before SC joined the SEC, so if we had approached them...who knows!

Think Wilkins and Swofford have a thing going.

What 'predicament' are we in???

Dec 1, 2012, 10:38 AM

We're 10-2 ranked high enough in the BCS to get an at-large bid; if we took care of OUR OWN business we'd be playing for a national championship.

Again, I ask,

WHAT PREDICAMENT ARE WE IN?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

(Answer: We're really not.)

Looking to the future., yes we are. The ACC is becoming

Big East 2.0.

I pray we make SEC the ACC 2.0. Big 12 teams are kinda far.***

Big 12 is our only option.***

I'm pretty sure that there will be four super-conferences

remaining after all shakes out...ACC will not be one of them.. That, my friend, is the predicament we are in.

The predicament is 10 years from now when our puny tv contract has left us 40-70 million behind everyone.
Besides, a 12-0 Clemson team is not ahead of an 11-1 Alabama. We would be 3rd or 4th in the bcs even at 12-0

The problem is recruits will stop coming

Dec 1, 2012, 12:07 PM

If we are in a half #### conference the best players will simply not come here and wins by the coots over us will become the norm. Its very important we keep the teams we have now or there is no doubt we will be flushed.
