To Minnesota. That game was gut wrenching, but it sure felt like Clemson basketball was on the ascendancy at that time under Barnes and that tourney runs were about to be semi-regular occurrences. Of course, Barnes would bolt for Texas after one more year. Then Shaytt happened. Then OP with brought the excitement back but couldn’t never win in the tournament.

Special team in 2017-2018 with Reed, Devoe, Simms, et. al. getting us back to the regional semifinal.

Let’s do it again Sunday and make it a habit. Go Tigers.! Beat Baylor!

Minnesota got years of wins vacated including that year because none of the players had been to classes for years and they got caught faking their academic progress.

The sucky thing about cheating is it pays.

No one cares 3 to 20 years later about vacated wins.

That was perhaps Barnes’ most talented Clemson team, with senior Greg Buckner and junior Terrell McIntyre, along with some very good supporting players. We started the year ranked very high, but limped down the stretch and lost in the first round to Western Michigan.

It was one of the most disappointing Clemson basketball teams we had. I believe Rick knew it was a sign that he wasn’t going to be able to sustain success at Clemson, and knew he better bolt while his stock was still pretty high.
