a mile with no coolant flowing, and it probably idled in the parking lot for a few minutes after that.

That said, we've got some neighbors who come to the lake twice a year, and their protocol for taking the pontoon out is cranking it up while the motor is out of the water to let it warm up. I know that impeller looks like it's been attacked by a tiger, but she still runs after 4-5 years based on what I saw Memorial Day. So maybe there's hope.
