I genuinely believe that DJU was a victim of a LOT of things beyond his control: parents' nasty divorce, Scott-Elliott-Streeter instability, Covid, complicated offense and downturn in WRs.
DJ is a guy who represented Clemson with incredible class, under very difficult circumstances. I know people twice his age who would not be able to show the grace this guy showed.
I'll defend him to the end and wish him the very best at Oregon State. I'll be pulling for him.

Same! DJ was an incredible leader on and off the field and should be treated as one of the best to come through Clemson.
Sure he had issues performing at times on the field. But other times he looked as good as advertised. I truly hope he has success at Oregon St and hope that success translates to the NFL!

Don't forget the injuries he battled in 2021.

No excuses - it is what it is - DJ just didn't live up to expectations. It's totally legitimate to point out, however, that there may have been very good reasons for that that were beyond his control, reasons which do not = "DJ Sucks".

Thought that guy was going to be the first Clemson Heisman. Had the size, arm, potential but didn't have the noggin for the job. If someone would have bet you that we would have the 100+ ranked offense under his tenure everyone would have taken that bet. IT was really unbelievable.

I think the interesting point that DJU "haters" never bring

up, is the way in which DJU entered the picture. They all want to act as if his performances against Notre Dame and BC in 2020 didn't happen. OK, so let's go there.
When then was his entrance? Well, against UGA in 2021, of course. And when he first came in for that game he was lined up against the best defense in the Nation, and had 1st and 10
AT HIS OWN 10 YARD LINE.
Yep, he was backed up to the goal line just as he was coming into the game. Who have we heard about doing this too? Well, none other than Cade Klubnick, who entered the game against Notre Dame in 2022 with a 1st and 10 at his own 7. Except, Notre Dame wasn't the best Defense in the country in 2022 - good maybe, but not great.
Yeah, all the DJU haters want to make excuses for Klunick coming in and throwing a game-killing INT on the first drive just because he was backed up against his goal line. They forget that DJU had the same problem when he first came in for his "first" game as well, but DJU didn't panic into an instant pick.
Facts are a ##### to all those (not you, per se) who talk before they think.
DJU never had a shot - we didn't have the WR, OL, Offense, or Offensive Coordinator to put up big numbers in 2021. Dabo, as much as I love him, had ignored the attrition of capability for years, because with TL16 at the helm he could. DJU wasn't TL16, or DW4, but he was a dang site better than he got in return from Clemson.

Did you forget the only reason UGA won that game is because of a pick 6. Had that not happened UGA would have had to settle for just 3 points the entire game. our offense only had 3 points as well but they did have a couple opportunities to kick FG's that Dabo decided to go for on 4th down because of the 7 point lead by UGA. Not bashing DJ at all. I think that game changed his entire career at Clemson. He wouldn't have any confidence in his abilities for the next 2 years.

Dabo went for it on 4th down only once in that game - on your last possession from the 45 yard line. Had the pick 6 not happened, we would have scored at the end instead of taking a knee at your 10 yard line, and it would have ended 10-3, just like it did. We ran it 9 straight times for about 45 yards - when everyone in the stadium knew we were going to run it, and your defense had no ability to stop it - before taking the knee.
