NIL and how players are distracted by it.

See the link below for a sample of what Will Shipley has dealt with. He had a good freshman season but could it have been better without the distractions? You decide. Maybe other players don't handle it as well as Shipley.

dealing with this stuff. He doesn't have to deal with much at all.

The narrative of NIL among internet posters is just odd. I mean, how in the world do pro athletes focus on ANYTHING what with all of the endorsment deals, appearances, etc. they have do deal with? Funny how I've never heard that endorsements distract from the focus of people like Tom Brady and the like.

Seems like even Hunter Renfrow, Wilkins, Lawrence, et all don't even lose focus either.

They may not deal directly with it, but do they think about it, worry about it etc? I'm sure that even big time professional athletes worry about contract negotiations, losing endorsement deals because of bad play or making the wrong comment etc. Do they come out and state publicly that the reason they had a bad game the night before was because of something going on in their business life. Of course not. So how do you know?

you really think he is out there raw dogging this on his own?

Remember...Dabo helped create a "NIL Institute" on campus to handle these things. He has an agent & representatives. He isn't out there doing this without help.

It is one more thing for an 18-20 year old to think about. How much of a distraction? Depends on the individual and the details.
