He’s surely not taking a year off.

Unless more coaches are fired, Jeff's ship may have sailed for next year. There could be worse places to spend time than the Tampa Bay area.

Yes he was hired roughly just over a month ago. He was hired to watch and spend time with some little girl named Savannah. Look it up.

He's probably not in any rush to make a decision, as much as I think he'd love to comeback to Clemson in some type of roll, I can't see him taking a huge pay cut either. He'll probably want high end OC money at worse.

My take is J. Scott is a fine coach paid $5-6M when fired

He can take off a year and probably should to assess and way his life and options. Coaching opportunities will exist when he's ready to return. HC's and schools will contact Jeff Scott, and he can follow up politely if interested.
